About the Founder

Lindsay Schraad Keeling has been reading and writing since she was a little girl, even attending the prestigious Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute two summers in high school. She received her MFA in Creative Writing in 2022 from Southern New Hampshire University and has taken other courses on editing and proofreading. Beta reading for years, Lindsay has a knack for catching even the smallest errors or inconsistencies. However, she also knows that these talents come with a price, and wants to change the game on how much indie and self-published authors have to pay to have a polished manuscript.

Not only is Lindsay an editor, she is also a published author. She co-wrote the memoir, Where the Trail Ends: The Kenny Suttner Story, with her friend Angela Suttner. They self-published the book in October of 2020. In September of 2024, Lindsay traditionally published her debut novel, The Funeral Director's Wife, through Conquest Publishing. All author's proceeds from her novel are donated to the wonderful charity Oklahoma Homicide Survivor's Support Group. 

Because Lindsay has gone both the self-publishing and traditional routes, she knows what it's like to budget for things like editing and beta reading. Thus, Keeling Your Darlings Editing Services was born!
